This WWE Superstar can cost Seth Rollins his World Heavyweight Championship Belt

Seth Rollins is all set to defend his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre at WWE RAW. However, there’s speculation that Rollins might face a challenge in retaining his title due to the involvement of a former 6 time world champion.

This seasoned veteran happens to be CM Punk. For some time now, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion has shared a contentious history with Punk, engaging in verbal confrontations where Rollins has labeled Punk as a “cancer” and a “jerk.”

Considering their past animosity, it wouldn’t be unexpected if Punk were to make an unanticipated appearance during Seth Rollins’ match at the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW, potentially leading to Rollins losing his title. The storyline might involve Punk interfering in the match, creating an opportunity for McIntyre to capitalize and secure the championship.

Speculations about a brewing rivalry between the ex-AEW talent and The Architect surfaced following Punk’s comeback to WWE. The promotion has hinted at a potential WrestleMania showdown between these two, setting the stage for what could evolve into an intense and fiery feud. This storyline angle might serve as the initial foundation, subtly paving the way for their conflict to intensify.

Following CM Punk’s comeback at Survivor Series: WarGames, which was met with immense fan excitement, Seth Rollins appeared less than thrilled. The Visionary reacted with visible anger, expressing his dissatisfaction at Punk’s return while WWE staff attempted to restrain him.

Subsequently, in a Sports Illustrated interview, Rollins admitted his surprise at Punk’s return to the Stamford-based promotion. He later extended an apology to fans for his intense initial reaction, acknowledging his own shock at the unexpected turn of events.

“At that moment, emotions ran high, and it was a deeply raw and emotional reaction. I understand that not many were aware of the situation at the time. Looking back, perhaps my response was intense. It’s something I can’t undo. I do wish I had maintained more composure, but I can’t change what happened. My apologies go out to the younger audience and their families if my actions caused any offense.” Rollins was quoted as saying

The amount of hatred both the wrestlers have for each other shows how much heated rivalry it is gonna be, and the current storyline is getting interesting after every Monday Night Raw Episode. Enroute to the Wrestlemania XL, we still have two major PPV’s in the form of  The Royal Rumble & Elimination Chamber, We can expect so many interesting potential returns and a new World Champion but the upcoming year is definitely going to be the Best for WWE in terms of Business and TRP’s.
