1.During a practice run-up, Curran defied the umpire’s instructions by running onto a prohibited section of the pitch. Ignoring advice not to use that area, he proceeded to the opposite end for another run-up. The umpire, positioned near the stumps, inadvertently obstructed Curran’s path. In response, Curran gestured for the umpire to move away and attempted a run-up directly at the umpire in the bowling crease, as captured in Cricket Australia’s statement.

Despite warnings, he moved to the opposite end for another run-up. The umpire, stationed by the stumps, unintentionally impeded Curran’s approach. In reaction, Curran signaled for the umpire to step aside and then proceeded to perform a forceful practice run-up directly towards the umpire, as outlined in Cricket Australia’s report.
