Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar recently shared a heartwarming video on his social media platforms, showcasing his impromptu cricket session on the streets of Kashmir. In the video, he could be seen approaching a group of people playing cricket and asking, “Hum khelein? (Can I play as well?)”

He capped off his street cricket session by taking a selfie with fans, captioning the post on Instagram, “Cricket & Kashmir: A MATCH in HEAVEN.”

With impeccable timing and skill, he effortlessly bats, hitting the ball straight with both lofted shots and drives. Amidst the game, he also indulges in a couple of unorthodox shots, much to the delight of the starstruck onlookers.

In another video shared earlier, he visited a cricket bat making factory, reminiscing about how his sister had once gifted him a Kashmir willow bat. Kashmir’s willow bats are renowned worldwide, cherished by cricketers for their quality.

 

The cricket icon’s visit to Kashmir also made headlines as he traveled economy class. In a heartwarming moment captured on video, Tendulkar was warmly welcomed by fellow passengers with the iconic ‘Sachin, Sachin’ chants, turning the aircraft momentarily into a stadium and leaving him humbled by the gesture.
