In 2022, McGregor’s involvement in ‘Road House’ was announced, generating substantial anticipation among fans eager to see his performance. The release date has been finalized for March 21, 2024, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, requiring viewers to subscribe to the streaming service.

Despite efforts by Gyllenhaal and director Doug Liman to advocate for a theatrical release, Amazon Studios chose to opt solely for streaming.
