India’s playing XI against South Africa for first Test

After leveling the T20I series and securing victories in the ODIs, India aims to make history by securing their inaugural Test series victory in South Africa. Throughout India’s past eight Test series in this country, the hosts have emerged victorious seven times, with the visitors’ most successful performance being a 1-1 draw in 2010.

During India’s previous Test series in South Africa, they initiated with a win in Centurion but faced defeats in Johannesburg and Newlands. Notably, this series marked the final international match led by Virat Kohli as captain. Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership in the longest format, the upcoming two Tests present the first full SENA series for the two-time World Test Championship finalists.

The latest news is that South Africa has won the toss and elected to ball first, As the Boxing Day Test is set to commence at SuperSport Park in Centurion, Here’s the playing XI of team India :
Rohit (C), Jaiswal, Gill, Kohli, Iyer, KL (WK), Ashwin, Thakur, Bumrah, Siraj and Krishna.

Due to Back Spasm Ravindra Jadeja misses out the first test whereas Prasidh Krishna is all set to make his Test Debut and will be looking to prove himself.
