India beat South Africa by 106 runs in a high scoring encounter where Captain Suryakumar Yadav yet again showed his class and brilliance with the bat, scoring a mighty 100 off just 56 Balls as India posted 201/7 being asked to bat first.
Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made 60 off 41 balls, Shubhman Gill however failed to give a start and went out on a score of 8(6) , Tilak Verma 0(1), Rinku Singh 14(10)* , Ravindra Jadeja 4 (2) , Jitesh Sharma 4(4). Keshav Maharaj & Lizaad William picked up 2 Wickets each and Nandre Burger & Tabraiz Shamsi got 1-1 wicket in their hands.
For South Africa No other batter managed to even get 20 Runs on the board except Markram 25 (14) & David Miller 35 (25). Kuldeep Yadav took five wickets for 17 runs while Ravindra Jadeja got two. Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh got a wicket apiece.
SuryaKumar Yadav got Man of the Series & Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance, he also managed to keep himself at No.1 on the ICC T20I Rankings. The first match in Durban was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain while South Africa won the second match by five wickets in Gqeberha. Series Leveled between both the teams by 1-1 and the campaign is onto the next level where both the teams will face each other once again in an ODI series and then they’ll play a Test series.
