The Indian Women’s Cricket Team has revealed its ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming series against Australia. Shreyanka Patil, Mannat Kashyap, Saika Ishaque, and Titas Sadhu are set to make their maiden appearances in the Indian women’s ODI squad.
This talented quartet’s inclusion comes after impressive performances in various cricket events. Shreyanka Patil showcased her prowess during the T20I series against England, claiming five wickets and earning the Player of the Match title in the final match. Meanwhile, the left-arm-spinner, Mannat Kashyap, and Titas Sadhu were part of India’s triumphant Under-19 Women’s World Cup squad earlier this year. Saika Ishaque stood out as a top performer for the Mumbai franchise in the Women’s Premier League.
The ODI series, comprising three matches, is scheduled to commence on December 28 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The subsequent T20Is, also a three-match series, will take place at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai starting on January 5.
The squads, led by Harmanpreet Kaur as captain and Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain, showcase a blend of experienced players and promising newcomers. This announcement follows India’s recent historic victory against Australia in the one-off women’s Test in Mumbai.
The Indian team is geared up to face Australia in an intense limited-overs showdown, aiming to continue their winning momentum in the upcoming series.
