The schedule is set to kick off with India U19 facing Afghanistan U19 on December 29, followed by a clash against South Africa U19 on January 02, 2024. The grand finale is scheduled for January 10, 2024.
Notably, the tri-series serves as a crucial stepping stone for India U19, offering them valuable match practice before their World Cup campaign. The BCCI had earlier unveiled the U19 squad for the global cricketing spectacle, with batter Uday Saharan leading the defending champions.
India’s U19 team boasts an impressive history in the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, holding a record-breaking five titles. As they aim to extend their dominance, the team, under the captaincy of Uday Saharan, is poised for an intense battle on the cricketing stage in South Africa.
The ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 will witness a total of 16 teams competing across various South African locations. Group A, featuring defending champions India, alongside Bangladesh, Ireland, and USA, promises gripping encounters. Meanwhile, Group B showcases cricketing giants England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland.
Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Namibia form Group C, while Group D consists of Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Nepal. The tournament is set to commence in January, encompassing 41 matches with the grand finale scheduled for February.
